KWLK 88.5 FM is the radio outreach ministry of Calvary Chapel Susanville.
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.” Isaiah 61:1
Our desire through radio ministry is two fold: First, evangelism, reaching the non-believing and non-churched community in our midst, trusting that the Word of God will not return void, but that it will accomplish exactly what He wants it to accomplish. A very close second is to minister to and strengthen the faith of the brethren in our midst knowing that “faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”
We have designed our schedule and selected the Bible teaching programs that are broadcast with a mind not only towards our general community, but also considering the large prisoner population in the area prisons. Our desire is that each prisoner and guard would come to know Jesus. Our schedule is intended to be rich and diverse.
Our schedule is dominated by Bible teaching from solid Bible teaching pastors and expositors from all over the country from a variety of different back grounds knowing again that “Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” We’re depending on the Holy Spirit to work in each life as He chooses and that He’ll use the Word of God to accomplish His work.
God is already using this broadcast to change lives and we’re excited to see what He will continue to do.
We have plans for improving our signal and coverage, we’re also streaming the broadcast live on the internet. If you have any comments or suggestions please let us know.
God bless you and keep you,
Pastor Mike Scanlan
